North America is looking forward to introduce a brand new low-cost air carrier ‘Swoop’ to the travel market of Canada. It is expected to fly nearly 2,000 miles across the country.

Swoop is the sister of the budget carrier WestJet is expected to be launched in June. It offers services between five Canadian cities from as little as £40.

In order to celebrate its arrival, it has just began selling its first batch of seats from Abbotsford, British Columbia, to Hamilton, Ontario that link travelers between Vancouver and Toronto and is an hour’s drive at either end.

Being a budget airline, the base fare does not include checked luggage or even a small carry-on suitcase, seat-selection of food and drink.

In addition, the promotional fares would disappear instantly. But the starting fares are quite cheaper than the larger carriers. Flair Air is offering Abbotsford to Hamilton. Swoop has selected five Canadian cities as the starting block for its destination network.

It was announced in September 2017 that Swoop calls itself the ‘Robin Hood of airlines’. And that it was aiming to bring ultra-low fares to all. It has its headquarters in Calgary. But it also utilizes John C Munro Hamilton International just outside of Toronto as a hub.

And Swoop mentioned that it plans to introduce more destinations once it starts flying. It is planning to support those plans by adding four new aircraft to its existent six that is all Boeing 737s by spring 2019.

The airline promises modern airplanes and ultra-low fares thereby offering a customized experience.
