It’s all systems a go for Celestyal Cruises, which has just announced that it will return to Cuba on Oct. 20 for its fifth year of winter deployment.

Post-Hurricane Irma, the island nation is quickly returning to normal, says the cruise line. There is no damage to any port facility and all cruise operations in Cuba are running smoothly. Cuba’s Ministry of Tourism has confirmed that tourist facilities were largely back to normal just one week after Irma. Celestyal Cruises also received confirmation from local agents that there will be no change to the line’s shore excursion operation.

In short, none of the tourist sites that are part of Celestyal’s itinerary have been affected.

Moreover, recent incidents exclusively involving U.S. and Canadian diplomats are “entirely unrelated to tourism” and currently under investigation by the governments of Cuba, the U.S. and Canada. “Safety and security at sea and on land are our highest priorities at Celestyal Cruises, and the company is pleased to be able to maintain its impeccable standards while providing our passengers with authentic lifetime experiences on one of the great gems of the Caribbean,” said a spokesperson for the cruise line.
