Delta Adds More Service to Costa Rica, Brazil
Delta Air Lines said it will add a new Latin American destination from its Minneapolis-St. Paul hub, and expand flying to Brazil, as it continues an expansion into key Latin American markets. Delta will begin new year-round weekly flights between Minneapolis-St. Paul and Liberia, Costa Rica, beginning in January 2012. The service will operate every Saturday using 160-seat Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
In addition, Delta will add an additional weekly frequency between Atlanta and Brasilia, Brazil, upgrading the flight to daily service, beginning Dec. 12. That flight is operated using 162-seat Boeing 757 aircraft. Delta also will add two new weekly frequencies between Detroit and Sao Paulo, bringing that flight to daily service, effective Dec. 19. The flight is operated using a 209-seat Boeing 767 aircraft.
