ABASTUR®, the largest event linked to the hotel, catering and restaurant industry, is gathering over 800 exhibiting companies on a total surface of 34,000 square meters, where they can showcase their services and products supporting the sector’s operating infrastructure.
On August 26-29, some 23,000 thousand national and international visitors will be gathered at Centro Banamex to exchange business strategies with their trade partners throughout four days.
The Hospitality Industry has strengthened its position as a development factor and driving force for the country’s economy, that’s why, ABASTUR® is the stage where suppliers and buyers from the sector carry out market operations in the finest terms and conditions, within an environment of business and professionalism.
The Alliance with the National Association of Restaurant Industry and Spicy Food - CANIRAC, with Mexican Association of Hotels and Motels -AMHM, as well as the collaboration with the Secretary of Economy, through the National Institute of the Entrepreneur and SAGARPA, ratify ABASTUR® as The Meeting Point where Hospitality meets business.
Within the framework of ABASTUR, the Specialized Pavilions are: Entrepreneurs; Tequila & Mezcal, Cafe (Coffee Show) and this is the first time of Cheese, Bread and Wine. A wide range of traditional and avant-gardist products are going to be exhibited to strengthen or create new business lines within the Hotel, Restaurant, Cafeteria and services Industry.
The Pavilion of Agriculture and Food Products will be made up of the country’s finest products, aimed at the hospitality sector, backed up by SAGARPA.
ABASTUR® 2013 will also include: Azteca® "Final Latinoamericana" Latin American Grand Culinary Contest; Mayan Latin AmericanContest of Baking® "Final Nacional"; Mexican Cocktail Contest®; this year’s Olmeca Contest of Ice Sculptures® will include Mukimono, Butter and Buffet, and Tlaxcalli Contest on Handcrafted Bakery®.
2013Trends and Strategies features a Program of Conferences and Workshops with up-to-date topics related to the Hotel, Restaurant and Cafeteria Industry.
In order to follow the capitation guideline, the four-day event will be accompanied by a program of academic connection where university students will be participating in: Student Culinary Contest of the Americas and ABASTUR® 2013Rally.
