New Education Portal for Caribbean Travel Specialists

Monday, 06/10/2008

Working in partnership with the Caribbean Tourism Development Company (CTDC), the marketing and business development unit owned equally by the Caribbean Hotel & Tourism Association (CHTA) and the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO), Questex Media’s Travel Agent Media Group introduces a new travel agent education portal, CaribbeanTravel.com/Agent, dedicated to serve travel agents specializing in the Caribbean tourism market.

CaribbeanTravel.com/Agent is an extension to CaribbeanTravel.com – The Magazine, a semi-annual publication featuring detailed information on every Caribbean destination and more than 1,300 hotel properties. The publication was formed February 2008, offering travel agents detailed travel information to the Caribbean.

CaribbeanTravel.com/Agent offers agents a one-stop shop for news, rewards, lessons, videos and detailed Caribbean travel and hotel facts. Powered by Travel Agent University and TravelAgentCentral.com, CaribbeanTravel.com/Agent will provide travel agents the necessary tools to become an expert on travel to the entire Caribbean region.

“The continued demand for Caribbean vacations is in no small part due to the skills and specialized training of travel agents who provide insightful and appropriate packages to travelers,” said Hugh Riley, interim secretary general of the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) and co-chief operating officer for the Caribbean Tourism Development Company (CTDC). “With CaribbeanTravel.com/Agent, travel agents will have access to educational courses, rewards programs, deals, fam trips and more.”
