The Excelencias Groups extends its most sincere condolences for the death of Maurico Xavier Van der Hoorst, general manager of the NH Parque Central Hotel. Mr. Van der Hoosrt died in Havana where he was living temporally. Mr. Van der Hoorst, who was born in the Netherlands, had been running the fancy five-star hotel owned by Spain-based company NH right across Havana’s Central Park. He had replaced Jose Angel Esteban just a few months ago.
Following his death and funeral services, held in the Cuban capital in the presence of relatives, friends and local tourism authorities, the hotel’s front office will be taken over by Jose Angel Esteban as interim general manager, a post he held down until a few months ago when he was replaced by the late Van der Hoorst. |
