Cape Eleuthera Resort & Yacht Club Opens in Bahamas

Thursday, 14/02/2008

The new $85 million Cape Eleuthera Resort & Yacht Club has opened for resort guests. The development is a mix of real estate opportunities and an upscale resort and yacht club, featuring one of the largest marinas in the Out Islands of the Bahamas. It is intimate, upscale and exclusive, with only 17 resort town homes.

Located on a 4,500-acre peninsula on Eleuthera Island it’s an ideal setting for fishing, sailing, diving, kayaking, boating and relaxing on secluded beaches. It features two-bedroom town home resort accommodations lining the marina and future beachfront lots and homes for real estate opportunists.

The Cape Eleuthera resort and real estate project is being developed by the DeVos family who formerly owned Peter Island in the British Virgin Islands. It boasts the longest Mega Yacht Dock on Eleuthera at more than 450 feet and features a wide flushing channel to ensure a clear marina basin and protection against surge.

The marina also accommodates vessels larger than 200 feet with depths up to 35 feet and currently holds 55 slips with a potential capacity of up to 200. Twenty-six beachfront lots are the future site of ocean front beach villas and private estate homes for those looking to own, and real estate inquiries are now being accepted.

Each town home features stainless steel GE Profile appliances, granite counter tops and tiled floors. Complete with spacious living areas, four-poster beds, fully appointed kitchens and washer and dryer. Private porches and balconies command views of the marina.
