With the weekend launch in Havana of issues two and three of Art by Excelencias magazine, out publishing staff stresses its commitment to a project that saw the light of day in the summer in an effort to showcase the very best of the contemporary arts in the Caribbean and the Americas, as well as to provide a space for sharing views and igniting debates among artists, critics and experts in the field.

According to Alexa.com International Ranking, Caribbean News Digital tops the list of all major online travel and tourism newspapers from Hispanic America. The top-20 chart goes like this, as for the week ending April 18:

Moscow, April 1 – Jose Carlos de Santiago, President and CEO of Spain’s Excelencias Group is fulfilling a tight working agenda in the Russian capital as part of a delegation of Spanish businesspeople paying a visit to the country at the request of the Madrid Chamber of Commerce and the Spanish embassy to Moscow.

The Caribbean Tourist Excellences magazine’s second issue in Russian and the debut of Excelencias Travel magazine in that same language –both published by the Excelencias Group to target that growing market- were widely acclaimed during the International Travel & Tourism Fair (MITT 2009) fair held in Moscow.

The Excelencias Groups extends its most sincere condolences for the death of Maurico Xavier Van der Hoorst, general manager of the NH Parque Central Hotel. Mr. Van der Hoosrt died in Havana where he was living temporally.
