Wyndham Hotel Group named long-time Wyndham executive Dan Kornick as senior vice president and chief information officer. Kornick is tasked with overseeing Wyndham Hotel Group’s IT organization and providing the leadership and vision for the company to deliver against its technology objectives. Amadeus said Darrin Deck has joined the company as vice president, sales and account management, for its North America operations. In his new role, Deck will focus on leading and managing client relationships to deliver on the needs of Amadeus’ corporate travel companies and online travel agencies in the U.S. and Canada. The Palms Hotel & Spa in Miami Beach, Fla., has appointed Patrick Kemmache as the new director of food and beverage. Kemmache oversees dining and bar operations, culinary and purchasing functions, staffing, quality control, and profitability of the property’s food and beverage venues including the signature “natural gourmet” restaurant, Essensia, and all other dining outlets, as well as corporate meetings execution and social catering/banquets. Coming off the heels of a $50 million dollar renovation, the Loews Miami Beach Hotel, situated in the pulse of sizzling South Beach, has named Craig Schoninger as the new director of sales and marketing. Following a restructuring uniting Crystal Cruises’ Hotel and Marine Operations departments, Crystal’s senior vice president-operations, Thomas Mazloum, announced promotions to the luxury line’s operations management team. The InterContinental Tampa has named James Horsman as the new managing director of the 323-room hotel. In this post, Horsman oversees all aspects of the operations of the property, including rooms division, food and beverage and sales and marketing. Antoinette Van den Berg has been named Director of Sales and Marketing of the Aruba Marriott Resort and Stellaris Casino. Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. named Dominic Paul its new vice president and managing director for the U.K. and Ireland. Currently chief operating officer at Heathrow’s second-biggest airline, bmi, Paul will join RCCL in September. Paloma Notario, former director general of Turespaña, the Institute of Tourism Promotion within the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade of Spain, has been named director of the Tourist Office of Spain in New York. The Aruba Marriott Resort and Stellaris Casino named Antoinette Van den Berg director of sales and marketing, with responsibility for electronic commerce, marketing and public relations, and transient and group sales. Van den Berg joined the Aruba Marriott in 2005, and most recently served as director of sales.
