The Excelencias Groups extends its most sincere condolences for the death of Maurico Xavier Van der Hoorst, general manager of the NH Parque Central Hotel. Mr. Van der Hoosrt died in Havana where he was living temporally.

 

Excelencias Group Wraps Up Tenth Anniversary Celebrations (1997-2007)

The Excelencias Group concluded its tenth anniversary jubilee on June 13 at Havana’s National Hotel with a long list of achievements in the fields of publishing and communications.

Right now, the company has over 350,000 readers around the world of its online newspaper Caribbean News Digital and more than 85 million readers of the Caribbean Tourist Excellences magazine, with 13 million copies of that particular magazine put out since 1997 to date.

 

Excelencias Group Hands Over Awards

Within the framework of FITCuba 2008, the Excelencias Group handed over the 2008 Excelencias Award to the Oasis Group in the category of Fastest Growing Hotel Rooms in the Caribbean. The company’s CEO Francisco Gimena accepted the award from the hands of Excelencias Group President Jose Carlos de Santiago in a ceremony held at the Panorama Hotel in Havana.

Excelencias Group Recognizes Europe’s Publicity Blitz in the Dominican Republic

Jose Carlos de Santiago, president and CEO of the Excelencias Group, presented Tuesday his company’s award in the category of Best Publicity Campaign to Made In Spain, a Spanish firm that created the Europe-oriented advertising plan for the Dominican Republic for the 2006-2007 period.

Paola Dimitri, head of the Dominican Republic’s Tourism Office in Spain, told Caribbean News Digital that picking Made In Spain for that particular campaign was like “hitting the nail right on the head.” According to Mrs. Dimitri, Made In Spain’s publicity project really “presents our country in a comprehensive way, underscoring our major travel destinations and sightseeing spots.”
